I painted this from a reference photo I took while aimlessly walking around Cattle Point, Victoria, BC.  It was just after a big storm and the logs, that had been thrown around in the ocean waves  like matchsticks, were still unbleached from the sun.

This is a scrumptious cheese from nearby Salt Spring Island. It 's so creamy you would be tempted to eat it with a spoon. The composition of this piece came together for me when I included my Victoria BC, souvenir teaspoon with the totem pole handle.
